JOIN OUR TEAM
At Integrative Massage Associates, we are always in need of Licensed Massage Therapists to expand our availability to a large clientele. We have openings at both our Camillus and Skaneateles locations, and will soon be hiring for an Auburn location set to open in the fall of 2026.
OUR VISION
In case our website and reputation haven’t pointed it out enough, we are NOT a spa. At Integrative Massage Associates, we focus on clients that need us as much as we need them. We focus on injuries, athletes, and body maintenance. Many of our clients have been coming to us for more than a decade.
When we opened in July of 2014, our goal was to fill a gap in the massage offerings in Central New York and we have continued to grow to meet that demand. While we currently have the two offices with another set to open in the fall of 2026, we also work with Syracuse University Athletics. Several members of our staff travel to Lally Athletic Center to work with Football, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, as well as other sports throughout the year. New hires to our team could quickly find themselves joining us on the hill.
EXPECTATIONS
At Integrative Massage Associates, the focus is on the needs of the clients, but as a company, we really focus on our staff. When we opened in 2014, the owner wanted one thing in particular: He wanted to run a massage office that would be the kind of place he would always want to work at too. He has kept it that way since day one.
The primary expectation is to provide the best massage for our clients, based on their individual needs.
The secondary expectation is to take care of yourself. The most direct path to being a great massage therapist is to be the ideal you recommend to your clients. Be healthy, in mind and body. Take breaks. Travel. Eat Healthy. Exercise. Get massage.
We do not want our staff overworked, stressed, and concerned about their future. This why we offer 401k and health insurance to our staff, with an obtainable number of hours required to have access to those benefits. Spoiler: it isn’t 40 hours a week or anywhere near that.
WHAT YOU DON’T NEED TO DO
- Sell anything. We do not pressure clients to buy lotions, extra treatments, or memberships
- Wear a uniform. Comfort is key. Wear whatever makes you comfortable to offer your best massage. Most of us are barefoot when we work.
- Request time off. If you need time, take time. The only caveat is that you can’t cancel a booked client to take a day off.
- Be quiet. While we want our clients to feel relaxed in our office, the reality is that most clients want to enjoy their experience, and conversation can very much enhance the session. You are encouraged to get to know your clients and reinforce the loyalty of a strong therapist/client relationship.
